The Brace Center For Gender Studies’ Summer Gender Institute at Phillips Academy, educators from independent and public schools will gain expertise on intersectional gender issues and develop curricular and pedagogical skills to embed intellectual inquiry of gender (as well as of sexuality, race, and class) into every facet of the work they do — as classroom teachers, administrators, counselors, and coaches.
The McKeen Award was created in 1998 by the Brace Center for Gender Studies to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to shaping the new, coeducational Phillips Academy in the spirit of Ms. KcKeen. These talented and committed individuals have made a lasting impression on Phillips Academy and The Brace Center.
